This weeks thoughts: Rebel AND Build: Women don't Climb ladders build your own!
💭 Here is my Thought this week:
This week I wanted to focus on the women in the workforce. Why? The ladders are rigged. The measuring stick is still not the same length, size or shape. As a Girl dad of 2 beautiful girls, Bille and Bobbie, and an amazing wife that is a doctor (Which is a more important job than mine 😊), I hope that the world will look a bit less skewed in the future.
Tuesday this week I had the immense pleasure to be part of a panel organised by our amazingly talented network of women: Women at Capgemini. We discussed many things around networking, speaking up about your wants, and much more. And I honestly I hope everyone in that room was inspired.
And than.... I got triggered again Saturday by This post was pretty which was sad to see... The firing of Sam Altman of CEO at OpenAI and the ad-interim CEO announcement of Mira Murati, who at that time was the CTO of the company. Look at the debate, it is Crazy indeed. The bias is crazy. Who cares about the education, fyi she is a mechanical engineer! She has been doing an amazing job so far and has been leading the developments up to the amazing DevDay announcements by openAI. I'm certain she will continue to do an amazing job! There is no education for pushing boundaries and getting things done! ❤️ to all the amazing women doing amazing things! You go Mira murati!
That is why I choose the theme for this week, Rebel AND Build. The ladders are rigged. We need new ladders. New thinking. It feels like people choose to dive into controversy to become famous. We need to continue in a new voice, an inclusive voice. Not just in Genders, but in cultures, in educations and values. Respect seems to be a distant memory in the world of social media.
I Would like to extend the gratitude to organisations like WOMEN IN TECH®- Global Movement®- Global Movement... and many more that are helping to pave the way for my girls and all the other girls out there!
Keep Rebelling, not for rebellious natures, but to Build something better!
Stay Curious 🧐 be a positive Rebel.
